4 Ways to Spend Valentine’s Day on South Carolina’s Beaches
Find Long Term Rentals on the South Carolina Coast
Book a Valentine’s Day getaway for you and your sweetheart to South Carolina’s coast. Not sure where to begin to plan a romantic escape? We’re here to help.
First up, you want to rent a charming place for the two of you. At TideLife Vacation Rentals, we’ve got condos and cottages, all equipped with everything you need so you don’t even have to leave. Many have beautiful views, and some rentals are located in high-end communities like Pawleys Plantation with access to golf courses, Huntington Beach State Park or other amenities and attractions.
If you do venture out, our properties are close to all the restaurants, shopping and outdoor adventure the area offers.
Secondly, show your sweetheart how you feel with a romantic evening out. There are plenty of options for delicious dining experiences. Check out the restaurants of Murrells Inlet Marshwalk like Wicked Tuna, Wahoo’s Fish House or Bovine’s for waterfront dining at its best.
On Pawleys Island, head to Caffe Piccolo for an intimate experience in a dimly lit space with a glowing fireplace and cozy booths. Their menu offers simple, fresh Italian dishes with a wine list carefully chosen to complement the choices. Or head to the courtyard at Bistro 217 for its array of fine-dining choices. Inside, you’ll find little nooks for privacy. Start your meal off with a craft cocktail or champagne. It is a celebration, after all.

Third, take in one of the specialty activity like the Hell Hole Oyster Roast and Chili Cookoff on Feb. 16 in nearby Jamestown. While it may not sound romantic, the cook-off offers all-you-can-eat oysters for $20 in advance/$25 at the door.
You can also warm up with hot teas and sweet treats at a Winter Tea at Brookgreen Botanical Gardens. Seatings are set Feb. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17. It’s a beautiful setting for an elegant afternoon.
Fourth, treat your Valentine to a spa day. There’s nothing like relaxing in an oasis while being pampered with a massage, facial, pedicure or body wrap (or all of those). There are a dozen spas in Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet, so take your pick. Book a treatment and enjoy being treated by a staff that has your comfort as their priority.
